Culture and Heritage
Discover the history and culture of Fuerteventura by visiting its most iconic sites. In Betancuria, the former capital, the Church of Santa María and the Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum await you. Learn about salt production at Las Salinas del Carmen and rural life at the La Alcogida Ecomuseum in Tefía. Explore the historic centre of La Oliva, with the Casa de los Coroneles and the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria and enjoy the views and the fishing museum at the Tostón Lighthouse in El Cotillo.
Nature and Landscapes
Discover the most spectacular nature of Fuerteventura. Stroll through the golden dunes of Corralejo Natural Park and enjoy the contrast with the blue of the sea. The island is also a first-class gastronomic destination. Enjoy fresh fish at La Vaca Azul (El Cotillo), creative Canarian cuisine at Casa Marcos (Villaverde) or roast kid at El Horno (Villaverde). For traditional dishes, Restaurante Mahoh (Villaverde) is an old Majorcan mansion that preserves the island’s authentic essence, while La Jaira de Demian (Puerto del Rosario) offers tapas and innovative dishes crafted from local ingredients.
